Red lentil porridge

  • Gas cooker

Ingredients

  • 500 gr Red split lentils
  • 200 gr Water
  • 4 Spring onions
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 2 pn Salt
  • tsp Red pepper
  • 20 gr Parsley
  • 100 gr Chopped tomatoes
  • 4 tbsp Sunflower oil

Instructions

  • Cut the onion and slice the garlic cloves.
  • Preheat oil in the pan and put onion and garlic. Cook for 2-3 min.
  • Add the red pepper and stir.
  • Add the red split lentils and stir. Add water.
  • Cook for 10 mins. and stir time to time.
  • Add tomatoes and stir again. Cook for 10 mins.
  • Release from cooker and add chopped parsley on top.

Notes

Serve warm. You can serve with sausage and fresh chili pepper/s on side.
